This event is inspired by the word “Meditation” from two friends' dialogue – Ploynita(founder of PRANSUK DESSERT London) and Patricia(founder of Aquappella).
What is meditation?
It is often linked to sitting and calm activities, such as yoga. In fact, there’s another form called active meditation. It enables your brain to be truly relaxed and aware of yourself by connecting to the here and now while engaging in daily activities. This state can be achieved through focusing on the five senses - in the slow methodical way that PRANSUK DESSERT creates each of their treats, to the immersive experience of focusing all your concentration on the subtly different flavours of water. In this way, we intend our pairing session to be an exercise on how to focus on the present - to find joy and meaning in the small moments.

Fine liquids water boutique – a lovely water boutique located in Fulham, London. Milin the director of fine liquids is a water sommelier, water consultant and water technologist who is dedicated to take us on a journey of discovery with new tasting experience of natural sourced water, as well as drinking water technology. He also believe art can enhance the way we interact and respect water on a daily basis and improve wellbeing.

The name PRANSUK means ‘Breath of Happiness’ which is a form of meditation practice, discovered by Chosita (aunt of Ploynita ). It originated out of her home in Chiangmai, Thailand. PRANSUK has served customers looking for something sweet, as meaningful and traditional gifts, or a gesture in special events such as house-warming, birthdays, weddings and buddhist ceremonies.
Ploynita went back home and started to see the true beauty of her aunt’s desserts after acquired her master degree in the University of the Arts London. As a continuation of the Thai heritage, Ploynita introduces PRANSUK to London, her second home. PRANSUK DESSERT London launched in December 2020. Ploynita has been adapting the traditional desserts with her influences of living in London, offering the buddhist philosophy to the contemporary lifestyle.
Aquappella – a combination of water and melody. It was founded in April 2020 by Patricia Chen, a Taiwanese water sommelier qualified by the Doemens Water programme. Patricia found the similarity between water and music, as they could be round or sharp, and create melody through various materials.
Water varies in taste according to its variety of minerals levels and temperature. She fell in love with it and started to guide others to experience the magic of water. Hoping everyone could find their favourite water according to their moods and needs at the moment – just like picking their favourite album.
Aquappella is focusing on educating people about water and indicating how to enjoy water in daily life. Drinking water could not only benefits health and well-being but allows different tastes to trigger a deep sense in one's mouth. Aquappella offers water tasting courses tailored to audiences, providing professional water knowledge in an understandable way to the general public.
Patricia believes that strong comparison and diversity of flavour would drive awareness of water. Thus, Aquappella provides an immersive journey of sensation experiences, including water, tea, food, and dessert pairing.
